Filmmakers from all over the world meet at the ZFF. Newcomers, young talents and cinematographers give insights into their works. They compete for the coveted main prize – the Golden Eye. In addition, actors and directors are honored for their achievements with honorary awards. The  « Sechseläutenplatz » (the place between Bellevue and Zurich’s Opera House) serves as the central theater and festival center of the Film Festival.
