The “Lucerne Carnival” will take place from 27 February to 4 March 2025.

The biggest event spectacle in the city, which takes place annually. There is an exceptional condition for six days. Beginning with Dirty Thursday with the big bang as a starting shot, the next days are all about the carnival. The Carnival marching bands (called “Guggenmusig”) with their sumptuous costumes ensure a great atmosphere all over the city. One of the many highlights of Carnival is “Monstercorso” – a huge parade where all Carnival marching bands will be represented.
