Just imagine: A second city is being created in the city! A series of restaurants, installations, stages and bars are erected on the streets and in the alleys. All thought up, planned, set up, festively decorated and put into operation by countless volunteers. In this way they contribute to the unique character of this tradition.

By the way, the name “Badenfahrt” comes from the Middle Ages, when people used to go to the thermal springs of the city to bathe. It all began in 1923, when, in the sign of the awakening after the First World War, a great celebration was held in honor of the Peace Congress of 1714. The community of the people of Baden was celebrated. The sense of home was a sure compass in the uncertain times of that time.
