Anyone planning a kick-off meeting with attendees from several countries does not have to commit to a single venue. Around Zurich Airport, several conference hotels and meeting venues are available, from THE CIRCLE right at the terminal to further conference hotels in the immediate area – depending on group size, budget and the desired supporting programme.

What all of these venues share is the location: short distances between arrival, accommodation and meeting room, direct rail links to Germany and Austria, and a hub that allows intercontinental travel without a detour. Which venue fits best depends less on location, since that is comparably strong across the board, and more on group size, budget and the supporting programme a company wants to run.

Why Several Venues at One Location Pay Off

For a group from several countries, the journey is often what decides whether the first working day survives intact. Anyone allowing two hours instead of ten minutes for check-in and the walk to the meeting room loses half an afternoon of programme time before the real work even begins.

For kick-off meetings planned for the first quarter of 2027 with international attendees, a location offering several differently sized venues is worth considering: a convention centre right at the terminal for compact programmes, larger conference hotels for groups that need extra rooms or more capacity. This range is particularly useful for companies whose kick-off meeting varies in size from year to year – a 40-person year fits comfortably into one venue, while a 150-person year may need several venues close together, without the group having to change region.

Ten Minutes from the Gate to the Station

Zürich Flughafen railway station sits directly beneath the terminal and connects to Zürich Hauptbahnhof in around ten minutes, part of a network of roughly 300 train services a day: long-distance trains towards eastern Switzerland, three S-Bahn lines and a direct connection towards Basel. This connection applies to every venue in the airport region, not just to a single convention centre.

THE CIRCLE is a short walk from the terminals and clearly signposted, with the Hyatt Regency Zurich Airport Convention Center and the Hyatt Place directly attached. Further conference hotels in the region are a few minutes’ drive away and suit groups that need extra room capacity or larger event space. For programme planning, that means: even if a group has to be split across two venues, the distance between them stays short enough to organise shared programme points, such as a dinner or a plenary session, without significant lost time.

Direct Rail Links to Germany and Austria

For attendees from Switzerland’s northern and eastern neighbours, the flight schedule is only half the story:
